you &@!!*#%#!Spent any extra time behind the wheel lately? It certainly seems like traffic has slowed down since the Oahu Transit Services bus drivers decided to sit it out. The longer they warm their duffs, the less sympathy they're earning from the public.
I used to carpool with a pal I referred to as My Daily Tour Guide to Idiocies of The Road. "Use your turn signal, jackass!" she'd screech at other drivers less competent than she. "What the hell are you doing in the passing lane, moron!" she'd advise others. No one learned.
And it's worse now. With the strike, every person who's been banned by a judge, diagnosed by a doctor or begged by a support group to not drive is back behind the wheel. I've been on the road with all of them.
And so, driving is meditation time. Slow down, look at the world flowing past, don't get upset. Hmmmmmmmmm. Calm down.
Look at that hillside at Castle Junction. Pretty. Gonna cost $14 million to reshape it after the most recent landslide ... $14 million taxpayer dollars! A hundred prisoners with pickaxes could do the job in a week! Those jackasses at the Department of Transportation, who do they think they're ...
