Asashoryu dominating


TOKYO >> Yokozuna Asashoryu remained undefeated today, improving to 10-0 and maintaining control of the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament.

Asashoryu beat Kotomitsuki (7-3) by tsuridashi (lift out), and has a two-bout lead over his nearest competitor, Chiyotaikai, who beat Takanonami (3-7) to improve to 8-2.

Tochiazuma fell out of a tie for second place by losing to Wakanosato (6-4).

Hawaii-born yokozuna Musashimaru (Fiamalu Penitani) is sitting this basho out with an injury.
