Jacobe Akiu broke 100 yards on only seven carries and led the Mustangs over the Menehunes.
Moanalua held the Mustangs to six points with five minutes left in the first half when its tired defense broke down, yielding a touchdown to Akiu.
"The dam had to break sometime," Moanalua coach Arnold Martinez said. "We held them in the first half, but we just couldn't get a first down. Our two-way players almost played 40 minutes straight because we couldn't get the defense off the field. I had to call timeouts just for them to get their reps."

Troy Milhoan scored from 2 yards out to give the Warriors a two-touchdown advantage in the fourth quarter and they went on for a win over the Dragons.
Glenn Kyota set up Milhoan's score with two rushing touchdowns from within 10 yards in the first and third quarters. Milhoan and Kyota scored the points, but they could not have done it without the defense, especially cornerback Kamahele Rojo, who earned four of Waiakea's five interceptions.
Honokaa tied the game in the second quarter with a 35-yard connection between quarterback Kanu Kanau and Pono Kahuanui. Kaneala Ablao added a 25-yard run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
