Lecturers present the Bible-based courses at several churches on the island.
The institute was organized 31 years ago with the goal of educating ordinary congregation members.
There is a $7 fee for class workbooks.

The Christian musical group Seven Simple Pieces will perform at the 7 p.m. event at 1860 Komo Mai Drive.
The annual "See You at the Pole" prayer service will be staged before classes on Sept. 17 at the flagpole of many public and private schools. The religious service is permitted on public campuses because it is led by students.
