Alehandro Samonte Castillo, 81, of Wahiawa died Aug. 20, 2003, in Wahiawa General Hospital. He was born in Kukuihale, Hawaii. Preston Dettman, 82, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II and a Christ the King Lutheran Church employee, died Aug. 29, 2003. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
