Jason Opetaia recovered a fumble in the end zone with 7:39 left to give the Rams their only touchdown in a win over the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs refused to give up though, responding to the bad break by driving down the field and handing the ball to Justin Barit from a yard out with less than two minutes remaining. The plunge ended Radford's shutout and cut the margin to four points.
Radford's Sunny Belcher dashed Waialua's hopes on the next play after a failed extra point, though, pouncing on an onside kick.

Led by running back John Dela Rama, the Hurricanes scored on seven of their first eight possesions and never looked back in routing the Kalani Falcons at Leilehua field.
After Gilbert Brown opened the scoring for the Hurricanes with an 11-yard touchdown run on Kapolei's first possession, Dela Rama took it from there, scoring four touchdowns on runs of 64, 5, 14 and 41 yards en route to a 10-carry, 214-yard performance. Kerisiano Tuaniga, who kicked seven extra points, capped the Hurricane scoring with a 37-yard run late in the third quarter.

Kyle Beck and Alex Maiava combined for 159 yards rushing and three touchdowns to lead the Golden Hawks over the Rough Riders.
Maiava opened the scoring for the Golden Hawks with a 59-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. Not to be outdone, Beck came back with touchdown runs of 25 and 20 yards to put Nanakuli up 27-0 early in the third quarter.
With the lead, the Golden Hawks defense took over, intercepting five passes and only allowing a late Kevin Fujii 3-yard run to cap the scoring.

Kekoa Sua ran over the Sabers to give the Surfriders a perfect start to their season.
Sua started the scoring with an 18-yard run then outdid himself on the next drive, sprinting 89 yards for another score. Dylan Linker got into the act for Kailua's third score of the opening quarter, hitting Kelroy Kohatsu from 31 yards out.
