Vegetarian nutrition
Dr. Michael Greger, a specialist in vegetarian nutrition who has spoken nationally on the topic of Mad Cow disease, will be the guest lecturer at the September meetings of the Vegetarian Society of Hawaii:

Sushi lessons
Long-time sushi-maker Paul Onishi teaches hands-on classes on consecutive Saturdays at Kapiolani Community College. Classes run 9 a.m. to noon and cost $43 each. To register call 734-9211.
