>> The Honolulu Symphony has named Joan Landry assistant conductor. She will program and conduct the Symphony's Youth Music Education Program, consult with music director Samuel Wong on artistic issues and serve as a community advocate for music education. She was most recently Oregon Symphony apprentice conductor and Lewis & Clark College Orchestra music director.

>> Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties has hired Kevin E. Miyama as assistant area office leader in its Leeward office and Leslie T. Kobata as assistant area office leader in its Windward office. They are responsible for strategic planning, financial management, marketing strategies and personnel support and development for their respective offices. Miyama was most recently with Eric Watanabe Realty Inc. Kobata has more than 25 years of sales and sales management experience, most recently as district manager for Automatic Data Processing.
