Dion Donahue, right, toasted Kaitlyn Metcalf and her boyfriend, Desmond Hanohano, as they celebrated her 18th birthday, graduation from high school in June and impending departure for college on the mainland, at the All Star Cafe on Thursday. Kaitlyn expressed her thanks to family and friends in a self-produced six-minute multimedia video album.
