Michele H. Singer found the Hawaii Cocktail Club in Doha, Qatar, one of the countries in the United Arab Emirates. Singer has lived and worked in Saudi Arabia as a nurse since 1995, after living in Hawaii for 20 years. Van Velasco, who took the picture, is from Wahiawa. The two met through work in Saudi Arabia.
