Krug wines, Indigo food
The wines of Charles Krug will be featured at a Winemakers Dinner, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Indigo Eurasian Cuisine.
Peter Mondavi Jr., owner and winemaker for Charles Krug, will present the wines for chef Glenn Chu's four-course meal.
The menu includes Alae-Roasted Moi (with Family Reserve Chardonnay Carneros Napa Valley 2001), Saffron-Marinated Spiced Organic Island Vegetables (Family Reserve Merlot 1999), Kiawe-Roasted Rib Eye of Beef (Family Reserve Generations 2000 and Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 1998) and dessert of Red Dragon Fruit Torte (Zinfandel Port).
Cost is $60 in advance, $65 that night. Reservations due by Friday. Call 521-2900.
Just say 'cheese'
Neiman Marcus' monthly Cheese Culture takes place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mariposa. Cheeses of the Loire Valley and Normandy regions in northwestern France will be sampled. Cost is $25, which includes a flight of three wines.
Tastings on Sept. 10, Oct. 8 and Nov. 12 will feature other regions of France. Call 951-3420.
