Fantastic

Tomorrow's Academy of Arts
sale offers hundreds
of pieces of varied art

Does your home need an update? A piece of art can perk up a room, and there'll be hundreds of pieces to choose from at tomorrow's Saturday Art Sale, running 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

Works offered represent more than 100 of Hawaii's most prominent and emerging artists.

Admission is free.

The art sale is part of "Showcase 2003," a fund-raiser for the academy's children's art programs. Sunday's Showcase food and wine event is sold out, but the art sale, offering fine art and wearable art in all mediums, remains open.

Also on view will be fans created by art students for the Academy Art Center's "We're Cool!" campaign to bring air conditioning into the classrooms, as well as Russell Lowrey's "Ocean Fan," an oil pastel on paper work that will be among the works for sale.

Call 532-3687 for more information.
