Melveen Leed, right, danced the hula "Hi'ilawe" with Chinky Mahoe and her daughter Kaula while celebrating her birthday at Chai's Island Bistro July 20. Nina Keali'iwahamana, Marlene Sai and Bill Ka'iwa sang and Tony Conjugacion chanted at the party. Joe Recca and his daughters, Élan and Délys, also entertained with music and hula.
A PARTY WITH FISHES
Kaitlyn Metcalf, center, was greeted by six of the Pondettes at the pre-show party for "On Dragonfly Wings" at Hawaii Theatre on Friday. The Pondettes, Mara Bacon, left front, and CJ Matsushige, and Tasha Libarios, standing left, Nohea Cambra, Fran Gendrano and Megan Mount, each play a different type of pond fish in the show.

Jordan Segundo, right, checked in with Jason Ulep, left, and Russell Tanoue during Tanoue's "Electric Piranha Room" party at the Ocean Club on Saturday. Segundo was there to take pictures for photographer Tanoue's Web site. It was also a big night at the club for Keoki Oliveira, who was celebrating his birthday with Maila and Kanoe Gibson.
