HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RUSSELL!: Sonya Mendez, left, Maila Gibson and Jordan Segundo wished Russell Tanoue a happy birthday before singing Broadway hits in his honor at his early evening private party at the Ocean Club on Saturday. The festivities also included a "Vagina Monologues" parody ("The Russell Monologues") and a performance by the Hypersquad Dance Co. Tanoue's guests received special "RT2003" commemorative glasses.
CLUB "1" ROCKS!: Melissa Cambra congratulated Gdog on the super-successful launch of Club "1" at Studio 1 on Saturday. Smart nightlifers arrived on time for smooth jazz and R&B music by the Mike Times Trio. Gdog and SubZero took charge thereafter and programmed a winning mix of vintage soul and electronic music that kept the party rocking in all three rooms.
