Julia Acain, 94, of Makawao, Maui, died Monday in Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Hawaii. She is survived by sons Edward, William, John, Richard and Anthony "Gilbert"; hanai son George De Lara; daughters Myrna Ham, Lucy Acain, Sister Julia Marie, Sister Catherine, Jane Leong and Katherine "Katie" Tsue; brother Tony Rodrigues; sisters Nora Llanes and Angie Ramirez; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Percy Brown Jr., 81, of Ewa Beach, formerly of Connecticut, a retired U.S. Air Force chief master sergeant, died Wednesday in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in Connecticut. He is survived by sons David W., Lance A., Richard L., Brady Brown and Edward T. and Mark D. Harrison; daughter Patricia D. Mindas; sister Mae Riley; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
