still winning
From staff and wire reports
NAGOYA, Japan >> Tokitsuumi moved a step closer to winning his first tournament, beating Asanowaka by yorikiri (frontal force out) at the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament yesterday.
The maegashira-7 remained perfect at 6-0 in his first tournament back from an injury. He entered this tournament with a 196-205 record in makuuchi bouts since his career began in 1996 and has never taken home an Emporer's Cup.
Six wrestlers are behind Tokitsuumi at 5-1.
Struggling grand champion Musashimaru, or Fiamalu Penitani from Hawaii, pulled out of the tournament today.
