A U.S. district judge ordered no bail yesterday for a man accused of possessing $1.2 million worth of drugs in a TV set.
U.S. Magistrate Leslie Kobayashi said Shayne Crisolo is a flight risk and a danger to the community, based on a recommendation to detain him.
Crisolo was one of two men charged with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of crystal methamphetamine. The $1.2 million worth of crystal meth, or "ice," allegedly was delivered to them in a television set last week.
About 3,959 grams -- almost nine pounds -- of crystal meth was found in the television, federal agents said.
Honolulu police and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration intercepted the television set and arrested Crisolo after he allegedly accepted delivery on July 3.
Eric Mark Collier, who was charged along with Crisolo, is still at large.
