Hawaii’s nonprofits
"Outcomes," produced by Alan Tang and Natalie Bostrom, debuts tonight at 8 p.m. on 'Olelo Channel 52, Community Television.
It will repeat in the same time slot for the rest of the month, with new shows airing the first Wednesday of every month through December.
The show focuses exclusively on Hawaii's nonprofit organizations and community leaders. Each half-hour show will feature three nonprofit organizations and a community leader.
"The goal of the show is to encourage community involvement with nonprofits and educate the public on the positive impact these organizations have in Hawaii," said Bostrum.
Tonight, former First Lady Vicky Cayetano is guest host and the featured organizations are Catholic Charities Hawaii, Community Health Centers and the Polynesian Voyaging Society. Myron "Pinky" Thompson will be honored as the outstanding community leader.
