Donations sought
for memorial funds
Memorial funds have been set up to assist Donna Brzezowski and her family after her husband, Paul, and their 7-year-old son, Matthew, were killed by a van last week as they attempted to cross Farrington Highway in Nanakuli.
Both were on their way to pick up a cake for Paul at Sack 'n Save to celebrate his 48th birthday.
Those interested in making a donation can go to any First Hawaiian Bank or Bank of Hawaii branch to contribute to the Brzezowski Memorial Fund.
Maili Elementary School will also be collecting donations for the Brzezowski family starting July 24. Matthew attended Maili and was to start second grade in the upcoming school year.
"The staff wanted to help in some way. This is their way of doing it," said Maili Principal Linda Victor.
