Toy Wong, right, winner of the Neiman Marcus/MGM Pictures "Legally Blonde 2" makeover contest, picks up her prizes from NM public relations manager Lucy Chelini. Wong also picked out a silver and onyx bracelet by David Yurman.

‘Blonde’ winner named

Toy Wong of Waimanalo was made to feel like a princess for a day as the winner of Neiman Marcus's "Legally Blonde 2" makeover contest sponsored by the store and MGM Pictures.

Wong was making a purchase at the Frederic Fekkai counter when the salesperson encouraged her to enter.

"I wasn't going to enter because I never win anything," she said. "In fact, when she called me to tell me I'd won, I didn't believe it. My first thought was, 'Uh oh, something happened with my credit. Maybe I didn't pay my bill or something.'

"But I told her I'd take her to lunch if I win so I'm keeping my word."

The winning entry was pulled by NM boss Al Tomonori. Wong won a makeover, $1,000 shopping spree -- she quickly settled on a silver and onyx bracelet from David Yurman -- and gift boxes full of cosmetics and hair care products from Laura Mercier and Frederic Fekkai, respectively. Those who see the movie may spot Fekkai in a cameo role as "Legally Blonde 2" star Reese Witherspoon's hair stylist in a beauty salon.

Although Wong hadn't seen the film before picking up her prize yesterday, she said the experience was similar to another Witherspoon film, "Sweet Home Alabama," in which the Tiffany store was opened to Witherspoon and her boyfriend alone for his proposal.

"I felt like that today," Wong said. "The store was closed and they opened early just for me."

Stila and Sephora are making it easy to color your world a vivid pink through palettes and products inspired by "Legally Blonde 2."

OK, so maybe the storyline wasn't the best, but still, you had to enjoy the fashions paraded by Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde."

Stila's made it possible for you to get Elle's uber-feminine pretty in pink look with a couple of palettes containing three eye shadows, one cheek color and "Elle Pink" lip glaze.

There is a cool palette and warm palette delivering a more peachy glow.

Both palettes sell for $45 and are available at Sephora.

Sephora is also offering its own "Tickle Me Pink" set of essential makeup brushes to keep you looking perfect throughout the day.

The set includes an eyeshadow-blending brush, eyeshadow crease brush, lip brush, brow and lash comb, blush brush and marabout complextion brush, with a mirror all tucked into a pink, faux suede bag that rolls up to go.

The cost of the set is $45.
