Words and smoothies
Jamba Juice has joined Kahala Mall to host the Seventh Annual Funtastik Keiki Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow with games, prizes and smoothie samples.
There will also be music, a magic show by Carlos da Silva II at 2:30 p.m., an appearance by Banana Man and storytelling.

Proceeds from the event will support Read to Me International, an organization dedicated to promoting the idea that every child should be read to for 10 minutes daily.

Kala for Kumu Kahua
Kumu Kahua Theatre hosts its fifth annual Kala Bash fund-raiser and raffle party at Indigo Restaurant, with food, entertainment, a no-host bar, silent auction and door prizes from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
The event benefits the theater's mission to produce theater relevant to Hawaii. Admission is $10. Call 536-4222.
Racing dragons
Save more than 50 percent on the registration fee for the eighth annual AT&T Hawaii Dragon Boat Festival by turning in forms and payment by Monday, when the fee will be $200. After Tuesday the fee will be $425 per 18-member team.
The race, involving companies, community organizations, families and friends, takes place Aug. 9 and 10 at Ala Moana Beach Park. Each team will have approximately three practice sessions prior to the event.

Learn to repot bonsai
Learn to repot bonsai at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Mililani Public Library.
Bonsai hobbyist Jimmy Castro will give a free step-by-step demonstration. Participants are asked to bring a bonsai container.
Registration is not required.

Home Show on Maui
The Maui Contractors Association Home Show takes place this weekend in Wailuku's War Memorial Gymnasium, offering information on home improvements, landscaping, furnishing and financing.
Event hours are 4:30 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow.
