Bon dances
The observance of the Obon season brings the flavor of old plantation village life back to urban neighborhoods, with bon dances staged by nearly every Buddhist temple throughout the summer.
The ritual annually brings families together to honor their ancestors, through a celebration featuring dance, music and food. Here is the schedule for the next few weeks:
