Jordan "Junior Boy" Avilla Jr., 47, of Waianae, a lifeguard, died June 3 in Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Arlene L. Pangorang; sons Jordan Avilla, Justin Kaniakua-Avilla and William Avilla-Pangorang; daughters Pikake Pangorang and Ilima, Tehine and Pakalana Avilla; brothers Richard "Chico," Randy and Eddie; sisters Diane and Genevieve Avilla, Liz Matsuo, Maile Worsham and Charlotte Gega; and six grandchildren. Jean Akimoto Gutierres, also known as Jean Wakaye Gutierres, 74, of Honolulu, a retired training and development leader for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and associate specialist for the University of Hawaii at Manoa's College of Tropical Agriculture's Cooperative Extension Service, died June 6 at home. James Marion Harshey, also known as "Jim" and "Pudd," 76, of Kailua, a civil service billeting director of bachelor personnel at Pearl Harbor Naval Station, died Wednesday at home. He was born in New Castle, Ind. He is survived by wife Shirley W., son Charles "Chuck" A., daughters Carol Ann Dillon and Cheryl L.
