[ PREVIEW ]
A preview of movies opening this weekend:
"Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" >> Eric Christian Olsen and Derek Richardson play the idiotic teen versions of the Jim Carrey-Jeff Daniels duo so popular in the original film. In this prequel, Harry and Lloyd start their own "special needs" class and literally stumble upon a school scandal. Luis Guzmán, Eugene Levy and Cheri Oteri round out the cast. (PG-13)
"Hollywood Homicide" >> Having tackled corrupt cops in the recent "Dark Blue" with Kurt Russell, writer-director Ron Shelton takes on a buddy comedy about two L.A. detectives (Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett) who moonlight at other jobs. So when they're not investigating the slaying of a rap group while on stage, Hartnett's character is a yoga instructor and wannabe actor and Ford's an unsuccessful real estate agent trying desperately to unload a house in the Hollywood hills. (PG-13)
"Rugrats Go Wild" >> The Nickelodeon kids TV network combine their two cash cows, "Rugrats" and "The Wild Thornberrys," for a high-spirited adventure on a mysterious deserted island. Bruce Willis provides the voice of adorable Thornberry dog Spike. (PG)
