show sold out


HOPE ALL you Jack Johnson fans had a chance to get tickets for his upcoming concert -- the July 6 show at Pipeline Cafe sold out in just two hours on Saturday.

According to Goldenvoice's Nikki Robinson, discussions are under way to possibly add a second show. Also, a bigger venue was nixed early on by Johnson's management, who were in favor of keeping the vibe of the show as intimate as possible.

But selling out Pipeline in two hours? You know this guy could pack the Blaisdell if he wanted to ...

PARTY PEOPLE have another choice at Aloha Tower Marketplace this summer with the opening of the Beach House at Pier 7. Mass Appeal hooked up the spot behind the Maritime Museum and will keep it open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights until September.

Among the bands scheduled to perform at the Beach House this summer: Aloha, Ekolu, Ho'onu'a, Natural Vibrations, Pati and Ten Feet. A free concert is also planned for June 21; call 566-0644 for more info ...

FORMER HAWAII Junior Miss Jocelyn Chong is getting ready to leave for Washington state to help raise money for the Arthritis Foundation. The 1998 University High graduate will partner with Cycle America to ride more than 4,100 miles across 12 states in about nine weeks.

Chong leaves Thursday to begin her trek and hopes to raise about $10,000 to help fund scientific research and support local arthritis sufferers.
