Wheeler BMX track
to host ‘Race for Life’

BMX riders are invited to the American Bicycle Association's 2003 "Race for Life" to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The event will be held July 5 at Wheeler BMX track at Wheeler Army Air Field.

"This is a great way for people to see if BMX is for them," said event organizer Jason Chang. "A $10 donation ... gets them on the track in an ABA-sanctioned event and helping a good cause."

The event is open to the public. The Race for Life began when a 12-year-old BMX racer from Michigan was diagnosed with leukemia. The ABA organized the event to help Todd Kingsbury's race for life.

To register, go to PreRegBMX@aol.com. For more information, call Chang at 625-7827.
