Two 2003 high school graduates chose the winning keys to a new set of wheels.
Among 244 students who attended Project Graduation for Kahuku High School, 18-year-old Ryan Orme held the right key to a 1998 Volkswagen Beetle on Friday at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park.
Kalaheo High School graduate Ashley Terrill, 17, chose the winning key to a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup truck Saturday morning at the Kalaheo High cafeteria. A total of 168 Kalaheo graduates attended this year's event.
The vehicles were donated by Mike McKenna, owner of McKenna's Windward Volkswagen in Kailua, to encourage participation in alcohol- and drug-free Project Graduation parties. This is the 10th year McKenna has donated vehicles to the events.
