The 24th annual Pan Pacific Matsuri in Hawaii Parade brought a splash of Japanese culture to Waikiki yesterday. Above, a clown offered an origami crane to newlywed Geraldine Goode, of Dublin, Ireland, as he and his troupe of merrymakers headed down Kalakaua Avenue.

Also joining yesterday's procession was a flying dragon from Ryujin Densetsu, of Japan.

Hand-held gongs and drums announced the procession of dancers from Takayama and Okuhida, who were elaborately adorned with feather headdresses.
