Man's fingertip bitten during parking dispute
A 40-year-old male was arrested early Saturday morning for biting off the tip of another man's little finger in a parking dispute in Wahiawa, said police.
About midnight, the 43-year-old victim confronted the suspect for parking a car in a visitor's space at 378 Mala St. in a way that prevented other cars from passing. Police said the suspect allegedly became angry and started arguing. The suspect allegedly went to his car, grabbed a baseball bat out of it and threatened the other man. Police said the suspect allegedly tried to hit the victim with the bat and the two men fell to the ground, wrestling.
While fighting on the ground, the suspect bit off the tip of the other man's finger, said police. The victim gained control of the bat, police were called and the suspect was arrested at about 12:03 a.m. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Discount pizza scam makes phone rounds
The company that owns Pizza Hut restaurants is warning the public about phone solicitations of pizza at a discount price.
Romeo Corpuz, the director of operations at TheoDavies, said a company in Kalihi received a call from a person claiming to be a Pizza Hut employee who was offering a 12-inch medium pizza at $5 per pizza and that a driver was in the area.
A similar incident occurred in Kaneohe, he said.
Corpuz said Pizza Hut does not make phone solicitations of pizza.
