Justine Michioka: Gearing up for Miss USA pageant, leading up to Miss Universe

Now that Miss Dominican Republic Amelia Vega has been crowned Miss Universe, another year of preparations await as 2004 Miss Hawaii Justine Michioka trains for the national Miss USA pageant leading up to the Miss Universe contest.
Michioka, a 21-year-old student at Hawaii Pacific University, received the crown during the competition May 26 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel that drew more than 1,200 people.
Michioka, who also won the swimsuit competition, hails from Kauai and is the sister of last year's winner Alicia Michioka.
The runners up are:
>> First: Valerie Seagrave, a University of Hawaii at Manoa student who was also the Best Gown winner.
>> Second: Monica Ivey, the winner of the interview award has a bachelor's degree in journalism.
>> Third: Kanani Oury, a Leeward Community College student also named Miss Popularity.
>> Fourth: Trish Barbosa, the University of Hawaii at Manoa law student was also named Miss Photogenic.

Camille Peraro: The Moanalua High School student is the new Miss Hawaii Teen USA

The competition was held concurrently with the 2003 Miss Hawaii Teen USA contest won by 17-year-old Camille Peraro, a student at Moanalua High School. She was also the winner of the Best Gown award and will compete in the Miss Teen USA pageant.
The runners up are:
>> First: Karlee Martin, a freshman at the University of Hawaii at Manoa who was also the winner of the interview and swimsuit awards.
>> Second: Kaitlyn Metcalf, a senior at Punahou School who also won the Miss Photogenic prize.
>> Third: Ruthchelle Melchor, a freshman at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
>> Fourth: Melissa Benz, a student at Hawaii Baptist Academy who also won the Miss Popularity and achievement awards.
