Stuffs
[ PREVIEW ]
Only one major feature film opens this weekend:
"2 Fast 2 Furious" >> It's the sequel to the 2001 sleeper hit, but without superstar Vin Diesel, director Rob Cohen and the Los Angeles underground street racing scene. This one brings together director John Singleton, his "Baby Boy" star Tyrese Gibson and the flashy streets of Miami.
The sole returning cast member is Paul Walker as erstwhile undercover cop Brian O'Conner, who was stripped of his badge and is now on the run for letting Diesel's character go free at the end of the first film. O'Conner infiltrates the Miami street racing circuit in an effort to bring down an underworld kingpin (Cole Hauser). Gibson plays an ex-con and O'Conner's childhood buddy, and Eva Mendes is the undercover agent partner.
With a bigger, $100 million budget this time around, expect bigger and badder car stunt sequences to juice up the action. (PG-13)
