Bishop Museum hosts its annual
music, dance and crafts festival

The third annual "Ku'u One Hanau" ("sands of my birth") Hawaiian music and dance festival took place yesterday at the Bishop Museum. Hoakalei Hina, left, gave a lei to ukulele kumu George Holokai before the start of his group's performance. In addition to performances, there were hula-related workshops, storytelling, games and activities.

Lola Spencer gave hands-on demonstrations and instruction in the art of lau hala weaving.

Leialoha Lim-Amina danced hula at the festival, which featured performances by some of Hawaii's top halau.
