Wela, brothers James and Lloyd Sr., sisters Leonora Kaukai and Eunice Seward, and seven grandchildren. Private services.

Charles P. Bernard, 96, of Kapaa, Kauai, a retired Oahu Plumbing sheet metal craftsman, died May 20 in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by daughter Marlene "Winkie" Helela, caregiver Trini Villabrille, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Margaret Leong Chang, 83, of Honolulu, a retired clerk typist at Fort Shafter, died May 23 at home. She was born in Honolulu.
