After the Dragon Boats were blessed during a ceremony in Waikiki in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village yesterday, Leonard Kam took his daughter, Lisa Kam, 3, off the boat after taking her picture. The dragon boats will be used in the eighth annual AT&T Hawaii Dragon Boat Festival this summer.

On the O'gio Extreme Skate ramp, O'gio skate team member Cody Peer practiced for an exhibition. The food, music and movie fest continues today with a showing of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" at 7:30 p.m. There is a free trolley service beginning at noon and running throughout the day between Haleiwa's "Main Street" (Kamehameha Highway) and the event site. Free parking is available at Haleiwa Beach Park, Haleiwa Elementary School, Waialua Elementary School and Haleiwa Boat Harbor.

An Imperial Storm Trooper and a half-naked tourist made a strange juxtaposition yesterday in front of the Sheraton Moana Surf Rider Hotel, where the 2003 Hawaiian Sci-Fi Convention was taking place. The convention featured speakers, appearances by sci-fi stars including George Takei (Mr. Sulu on "Star Trek") and merchandise dealers.
