A BIG NIGHT AT THE HANOHANO ROOM: George Kail, second from left, and his wife, Noriko, talked with John Valentine, left, Rachel Barnette, and Rede Eder, during the big fashion show / theme party at the Hanohano Room on Saturday. Eder, the manager of the Hanohano Room, co-ordinated the event with Barnette and Will Khatib. DJ Silvana Alfonso provided dance music. Several hundred people filled the room.
PARTYING BACKSTAGE: Ola Souza of 99.5 "The Breeze" congratulated Kale Hannahs of 'Ale'a on a great peformance during Kata Maduli's "Hawaiian Bash" at the Waikiki Shell on Saturday. A Waikiki medley was a hit in 'Ale'a's set. Maunaloa and Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu provided other concert highlights.
CONGRATULATIONS, KAITLYN!: Kaitlyn Metcalf, center, celebrated with Desmond Hanohano, left, single-monickered Laka, and Chrissy Naruo, after the Miss Hawaii Teen USA Pageant at the Sheraton Waikiki on Monday. Kaitlyn was 2nd Runner-up and also won "Most Photogenic." She was one of three winners in the "Achievement" category.
