ColdSpot, an instant reusable cold pack, was the winning entry in the UH Student Invention Competition yesterday. The contraption is the brainchild of University of Hawaii junior Mike Seper and features a built-in temperature gauge made of heat-sensitive film. Seper said it is designed for keeping drinks cold, but he also has packs in the works for medical use.
