MAY DAY IS CAZIMEROS' DAY AT THE SHELL

RIGHT ON, BROTHERS!: Glen Smith, center, of Ho'okena, joined Makaha Sons John Koko, left, and Jerome Koko for the Brothers Cazimero's 26th Annual May Day Concert at the Waikiki Shell on Thursday. Those seated close by heard some of the Cazimeros' songs in "surround sound" when Smith and the Kokos added impromptu three-part harmonies. Ho'okena will join the Makaha Sons in concert at the Makaha Resort June 14.

HAPPY MAY DAY!: Jack Law, owner of Hula's Bar & Lei Stand and the Wave Waikiki, congratulated Leah Bernstein, president of the Mountain Apple Co., on 26 years of Cazimero May Day concerts. Bernstein's husband, Mark, hosted a big bento picnic on the terrace.

GREAT SHOW, GUYS!: Roland Cazimero, left, Mountain Apple CEO Jon de Mello and Robert Cazimero relaxed onstage afterward. Highlights included a big "Fish & Poi" song-and-dance number featuring "third brother" Leina'ala Kalama Heine, a solo chant by Manu Boyd, an exquisite solo hula by Bianca Rapu Leitel and a zesty guest set by Na Palapalai. Tributes to Kohala and Honolulu added Cazimero family history to the show.
