Hogue and Kane
lead Punahou

Seniors Becky Hogue and Rachel Kane combined for 41 points as Punahou beat Iolani 51-37 last night to remain perfect in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu.

Hogue (22 points) and Kane(19) both hit for season highs for Punahou, which improved to 12-0 with two games left.

The Buffanblu remain a game ahead of the Kamehameha Warriors, who also won last night.

Punahou plays University and Kamehameha meets St. Francis on Tuesday, before the Buffanblu host the Warriors on Friday in the final regular-season game for both teams.

Last night, Punahou led just 18-17 at halftime before erupting for 18 points in the third quarter.

Ginger Gravelle, the ILH's leading scorer, tallied 19 points for Iolani.

Kamehameha 55, Mid-Pacific 33: Megan Ching scored 10 points and the Warriors used balanced scoring to beat the Owls.

Nine players scored for Kamehameha, which led 18-16 at halftime before running away in the third quarter.

St. Francis 63, Sacred Hearts 51: The Troubadours entered the game averaging 30 points a game, but reached that by halftime in a win over the Lancers.

Monica Chock scored nine of her 15 points in the second half and was 7-for-8 from the line in the fourth quarter.
