Kiyan latest to make
‘Star Search’
Hawaii's Kaitlin Kiyan, 12, will among the contestants on "Star Search" at 7 p.m. today on KGMB/CBS. She will be singing "Paper Moon."
Kiyan may be recognized by local theater fans, having appeared in Army Community Theatre's "Oliver!" in the title role, Diamond Head Theatre's "You Somebody," Manoa Valley Theatre's "Honk!" and Kaimuki High School's "Once on This Island."
She will also be appearing in Lisa Matsumoto's "On Dragonfly Wings" this summer at the Hawaii Theatre.
She currently performs with DHT's "Shooting Stars" under the direction of John Rampage.
Kiyan is a volunteer with Alan Silva's Department of Education "Positive Connections" program which travels to schools statewide, offering workshops on drug awareness and career planning.
