ON THE SCENE: A BUSY WEEK

KEEP ON CHANTIN': Kale Chang, in dark shirt, and Devon Nekoba, standing on a chair behind Chang, clowned with Chant at the Meritage on Monday. Chant is previewing material from its next album -- soulful originals and fresh versions of other artists' hits -- at Meritage on the first Monday of the month. The band returns May 5.

Garrett had a long engagement here with Legends in Concert; Hanna performed here years ago in a rock club on Lewers Street.
