The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Bank of Hawaii Corp. hit an all-time high this week before finishing slightly below that level to highlight the performance of local companies in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index. The bank, slated to report first-quarter earnings April 28, closed at $32.02 yesterday after reaching $32.08 on Tuesday. The stock is up 5.4 percent this year. Bankoh hits high
Cyanotech Corp. had the week's best percentage gain as it rose 6.3 percent to 51 cents.
Maui Land & Pineapple Co., the best performer this year in the index with a 30.5 percent gain, brought up the rear with a 2.1 percent decline to $20.67.
