Students at Sacred Hearts Academy adorned the Kaimuki campus with yellow ribbons yesterday for the U.S. troops in Iraq after a Mass was said in honor of slain Army Sgt. Eugene Williams, the husband of one of the school's graduates. Brandy Williams, whose husband was killed Saturday, did not attend the service but extended her appreciation through the school's principal, Betty White.




EXPRESSING PRIDE IN AMERICA

Employees of Love's Bakery on Middle Street expressed the pride in America yesterday by dressing up in red, white and blue and decorating their offices and work areas with American flags and other patriotic symbols. Among those who got into the spirit were Gloria Kuriyama, left, Angie Galisa and Rosemary Galdeira.
