A DREAM of A SHOW: UH-Manoa music professor Jane Moulon, left, Nina Keali'iwahamana, Aaron Sala, Tim Keali'i Ho, kumu hula U'ilani Bobbitt and Cynthia Rankin celebrated the success of "Dreams of Old Hawai'i" at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider on Friday. Mahi Beamer and his niece Gaye closed the show with a "hana hou" performance of "The Kimo Henderson Hula."

VOLCANOES OPENS: Janet Maduli, left, was a VIP guest as Volcanoes Nightclub opened on Saturday. Lani Dekneef, general manager Leialoha Harrington and her husband, Joe, also welcomed Janet's husband, Kata Maduli, and Brad Walker of the Kamehameha Garment Co. to the club. Falsetto vocalist Apela provided beautiful Hawaiian music for the party. Volcanoes was built on the former site of World Cafe.

RUSSELL DOES IT AGAIN: Russell Tanoue, center, welcomed Jerry Calvan, left, Cherylle Natividad, Angela Hoan and Dr. Rick Williams to his Electric Piranha Room Party at the Ocean Club Saturday. The lines outside were as long as ever as late-comers waited to get in. Performances inside included included bagpipers, a violinist and an incredibly strong and graceful acrobat, as well as the usual day-glo go-go dancers.
