THEY'VE GOT LEGS: Comedian Mel Cabang, in black, and Hawaiian 105 KINE midday guy "Uncle Sam" Kapu wore shorts at the Great Hawaiian KINE 105 Lu'au in the Blaisdell Concert Hall on Saturday. It was the big event of the weekend for fans of modern Hawaiian music and included the Brothers Cazimero's excellent rearrangement of Sean Na'auao's Jawaiian hit "Fish & Poi."

A GREAT IKONA REUNION: Ryan Tang, left, Ledward Kaapana and Alika Odom played their first scheduled performance in five years. The set included a surf-rock medley, Kaapana's "12th Street Rag/Sweet Georgia Brown" showcase and "Ikona."

RIATEA GETS READY: Riatea Helm did some last-minute rehearsing with bassist Chris Kamaka and her father, Zachary, before thrilling the crowd with her falsetto magic. Other highlights included Frank B. Shaner guesting with the Makaha Sons, Ka'ula Kamahele joining Ho'okena for "Hele on to Kaua'i," and a wonderfully informal set by the Brothers Cazimero.
