UH wins 2 at Hawaii Invitational
Hawaii won two games yesterday, defeating Wisconsin and Tokyo WCPE in the Hawaii Softball Invitational at Rainbow Wahine Stadium.UH pounded out 15 hits against WCPE in an 11-2 win in which Stacey Porter and Kate Judd each had two hits and three RBIs. Porter and Judd both homered, and April Crowell went 4-for-4.
Shannon Tabion went all five innings for the win, striking out seven.
The Rainbow Wahine (16-11) then scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to edge Wisconsin (10-10) of the Big Ten. Melissa Coogan pitched the complete game, surrendering a single walk in her 13th win of the season.
Judd collected two hits against Wisconsin.
In other Hawaii Softball Invitational action, Pacific (17-11) outlasted No. 18 Ohio State (14-8) 1-0 and Wisconsin defeated Ohio State, also 1-0.
