Kaipo Spencer will be introduced as the new head coach of Team Hawaii tonight at a reception at the Radisson Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel.

Team Hawaii will compete in the Hoops on Hawaiian Pine, the state qualifying tournament for the AAU, YBOA, BCI and Adidas national championships. The event is sponsored by the Hawaii Basketball Association.

Late entries accepted for Women's 10K

Entries for Sunday's Straub/Kapiolani Women's 10K race will be accepted through race day. The late registration fee is $30 for the 6.2-mile race through Kapiolani Park and around Diamond Head. The race is open to all females, age 6 and over.

Packet pick up is at Niketown on Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday's race starts at 7 a.m.
