The circus will bring several acts never before seen in the United States, from Mongolian archers who extinguish flames with arrows shot by their feet to strongmen who bend massive metal bows around their bodies.
Specializing in the 2,500-year-old art form of hai (the magic and acrobatics of Shanghai), members of the troupe begin training at age 9, learning skills developed originally for village festivals. The performers study all acrobatics but specialize in a particular skill, becoming acrobats, contortionists, bicyclists, magicians and jugglers.

Honolulu: 7:30 p.m. March 13 and 14, Blaisdell Concert Hall. Tickets for March 13 are $20 (children and seniors $5 off); March 14 prices are $20, $25 and $30 ($5 discount for seniors and children on $25 and $20 tickets only). Tickets sold at Blaisdell Box Office and Ticket Plus outlets.
