Hawaii Family Dental Centers and Meadow Gold Dairies Hawaii co-sponsored SmileFest 2003 yesterday, an event to raise awareness of children's dental health, at the Honolulu Zoo. Not smiling at the event, though, was 2-year-old Trinity Nahulu, who was scared at the prospect of sitting for a photo with Meadow Gold mascot Kawika Moo and let her aunt, DeAnn Ramos, know it.

The Kubo family, visitors from Nagoya, Japan, enjoyed the view and the breezy conditions created by strong tradewinds at the Pali Lookout yesterday. Hideharu, left, Kiyomi and Shiori Kubo were blown away by the sight. Winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected today.
