He is survived by daughter Naomi Robinson; brothers Isamu, Iwoa, Hiroshi, Kiyoshi, Robert Y. and Masaru; and a grandchild. Services to be held in Hawaii at a later date.

Joel Blaquera Alcalde, 31, of Waipahu, a Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse decor specialist, died Jan. 22 in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. Charles "Chuck" Louis Horstman, 70, of Honolulu, a retired vice president and officer of security for First Hawaiian Bank, died Thursday in Straub Clinic & Hospital. He also was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was born in Alton, Ill. He is survived by wife Phyllis; son Philip; brothers George, Cornelius and Samuel; sisters Shirley Whittington and Sharon; and two grandchildren. Committal services: 10 a.m. Monday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.

Sandra Joyce Kamanu, 63, of Wailuku, a schoolteacher, died Sunday in Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Massachusetts.
