A "SWEET SPOT" OF A SCIENCE FAIR

The Windward District Science and Engineering Fair took place yesterday at King Intermediate School in Kaneohe. Kailua High School senior Daniel Young stood next to his exhibit, "Sweet Spot," a study to determine the sweet spot for hitting of two different bats.

Both Haru's and Soon's exhibits were selected for display at the State Science and Engineering Fair.
HEELS OVER HEAD AT THE EXPO

A gymnastics meet was held yesterday as part of the Great Aloha Run Family Fitness Expo at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Among the participants was Amanda Yee of the Hawaii Island Twisters, who performed on the balance beam.

Students from Kalaheo High School held a Rock-A-Thon yesterday at Windward Mall to raise money for their Project Graduation. They spent the day in rockers to gather pledges and donations.
